24 Weeks

It's been a while since I posted pictures of my enormous stomach. So here you are.

21 weeks 4 days.

VS

24 weeks 1 day.
Yep, I'm totally in duckie boxers.

Now it can't just be me... there was ridiculous growth in the last month.

Changes of the month:
  • I've gone from "oh she might just really like food" to "that girl is definitely pregnant."
  • I had to purchase one of those silly pregnancy belly rings, because mine didn't really fit anymore.
  • The dark line is forming from my boobies all the way down my belly.
  • My belly button has halfway turned from an innie to and outie.
  • I can no longer pop my back by just turning side to side.

Such little time is left until she arrives. I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO!

Confessions

We've picked a name, and I have no intention of telling ANY of you until she is born. Why? Partly because I like to be mean, but mostly because I refuse to let anyone ruin the name for me.

If I'm hungry before I shower, I'll totally eat in the shower. Most recently I took my sub sandwich in there.

When "fat" people complain about being fat, I want to throw something at them. So you don't like yourself? DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Lazy cows.

Sophie trumps all of you. I love her most.

We have no dishwasher. When I do the dishes, I will wash and rinse, but couldn't care less about drying them.

It generally takes me a week to put away clean laundry.

When it comes to family, I have favorites. Phooey on anyone who says they don't.

I squish small fuzzy animals. It makes me smile.

I strongly believe that everyone in the world could benefit from therapy.

With the amount of paper towels I use, I probably kill a few trees a year. I think rags are gross, I would rather clean something up and toss it out. Yet, I cloth diaper... contradicting, no?

I hate children/teenagers. I used to love them. Now that I have my own, I see just how stupid some other kids are.

I hate the parents of said children even more. Teach your kids some freakin manners.

Since marrying a nerd, I spend far too much time on the computer. I blame him. :P

Every once in a while, Sophie and I will eat ice cream for breakfast. It's delicious.

I am currently re-reading my Twilight books for the 4th time.

A few days ago I spent about 15 minutes staring at the pantry, only to then make pizza rolls for dinner.

I have no plans to shave my legs during the winter. Denny often has to bribe me to shave then during pants season.

I would rather spend time with my 2 yr old, than anyone else I know. She's much easier to get along with, and funner to boot.

Girls Day at the ZOO!

Get ready for a massive picture overload. As always, I've become lazy and used the blogger uploader. If you want to see the bigger images, just click on them.

Last Sunday, we decided to take a girls trip to the zoo. For some unknown reason, Denny has an irrational hatred of the zoo. He chose to stay behind and unpack instead of join in on the fun.

Sophie fell asleep on the way there.

The peacock appeared to be dead, it just laid there.

Mama hen and her little babies.

Monkeys.

Looking at the monkeys outside.

Giggling at monkeys.

Elephant! (I heart elephants)

Angry gorilla. He scared the crap out of Sophie when he started coming toward the glass.

The weird elephant that makes sneezing and snoring noises. Sophie did not like standing next to it.

Rhinos.

More elephant.

Riding the carousel. The entire ride she refused to get on the animal with Liss, because she was scared. About 5 seconds before the ride ended, she decided it was fun.

So we rode again!

The 2nd time she had much more fun.

Looking at the crocodiles.

Baby skunks.

Weird foxes.

"Kangaroo."

Tiny frog.

Turtle.

Snow cones.

Showing me her purple tongue.

Smiling.

She wouldn't sit on these alone, because according to her - they were real.

Giraffes, Sophie's new favorite animal.

Dr Seuss Converse. Jealous? I am. They are One Fish Two Fish ones. :)

Getting tired.

Riding the train with all her new gift shop items. A hat, a stuffed pink giraffe, a purple ring, and a bag full of shiny rocks.

In the tunnel.

And going home. A day well spent.

Super tired in the car. Hiding in her hat.

What Matters Most

I have a favorite quote from a move, that I feel the need to share.

"Stop talking about love. Every asshole in the world says he loves somebody. It means nothing. It still doesn't mean anything. What you feel only matters to you. It's what you do to the people you say you love, that's what matters. It's the only thing that counts."

I've found that a lot of people, especially families, tend to think that they are simply entitled to love. I gave birth to you, I'm your sibling, I'm your wife/husband, people think this means that they instantly get unconditional love. Bull.

The only people who get unconditional love in my world, are the ones that come out of my va-jay. That's right, even Denny has to work for love.

So take a minute to evaluate your life. Think of the people you "love," do you really treat them that way? Do you really show someone that you care about them?

Words don't mean diddly squat to me. I've had plenty of people love me and treat me like crap. I'm proud to say that I cut those people out of my life - no body needs toxic people around.

I mean, some people can say they love someone, and then beat the snot out of them. While that is an extreme example, you get the point.

SHOW someone you love them. Actions speak louder than words. :)

disclaimer: this isn't directed at anyone in particular, but i know a good few people who should hear it. plus, everyone should work on bettering themselves.

Moved In

One run Thursday evening.

One run Friday evening.

Several runs on Saturday... and by 9:30 pm, we managed to get all of our stuff into the new house.

Huzzah!

The majority of things still need to be unpacked and set up.

Denny spent today unpacking our kitchen, while Sophie and I hit the zoo with Tina and the girls.

Zoo was AWESOME. We have TONS of pictures.

(We don't have "real" internet until Tuesday evening, so you don't get pictures until then. I'm currently using Denny's phone internet.)

So to everyone who helped.

Thank you :) For everything.

Goodbye Apartment

This should be the last post before we move into our new house. The rest of the packing will get done this weekend/early next week. If things go according to plan, we'll be moved in by next weekend. :)

So here are some pictures to hold my mom over for the next week. Sophie = crack to her. The lady can't get enough. :P

As always, click any of the pictures to enlarge.

Sophie and the stinky dog testing out the new dog bed we made. I'm not all for spending money on something that the puppy is just going to stink up, so I put my craftiness to use. Sophie thought it was the bees knees ripping stuffing out of an old pillow, and then shoving it into the new one.

Sophie "making dinner." (at least that's what she said she was doing) SweetTarts + screwdriver kit = loads of fun.

I also decided to stop neglecting my photoshop this evening. Enlarge the next two to get the full effect. :P

I just adore Sophie's eyes. She's always had multiple colors in her eyes, and they vary from day to day. Also, her curly hair is a big win. :) We're gonna have to beat the boys away from her.
This one I liked so much - I had to pop the color. I do believe I'll print this out and hang it.

So long stupid apartments, you will not be missed.
