Treehouse

We took the girls to the Treehouse Museum last week. Denny was Mr. Photographer, while I carried Mya around.

Sophie loooooves going there. I'll probably get a membership for her this summer.

She really liked playing with the castle. The prince was saving the princess. :)

And just for my little niece, here are some of Mya. We love you Melody!

Nerding

Isaak came over last week, and brought a nerd project. He was making a building of some sort, for a mini figure game. Sophie got right to helping him paint.

After that, he pulled out the Dungeons & Dragons stuff.

There really is no escape from the nerd. At least she's cute. :)

Because I Can

After this post, I'll be disabling the emails. So you lazy people will actually have to check the blog on your own.

Why?

Because I can.

It also drives Denny slightly insane that the majority of our family just reply to the emails, instead of commenting on the posts. He doesn't get to see the comments if they go straight to my email. So now you have to comment here. Ha HA!

So go ahead and bookmark the links you want now:

side note - Denny is still fine. We got all the stuff out of our car this morning. Sometime next week the insurance company will be calling us.

Mya has made the change from 0-3 month clothing to 3-6 months. She also smiles all day.

Sophie is doing well in her own bed, and has a bedtime routine that works.

Happy Friday.

Goodbye Car

Every morning Denny wakes me up, and kisses me before he leaves for work. Today he woke me up twice, and it kind of disoriented me.

"I got in a car accident. I'm perfectly fine, but the car is totaled."

"...What?" (It is important to understand that I'm not good with accidents. I panic when we slide on ice.)

"I was on the freeway and hydroplaned into a semi, then flipped over the median." (My brain didn't catch the flipped bit.)

As ridiculous as it is, I couldn't stop thinking of everything that could have gone wrong. Just yesterday I was worrying that we don't have life insurance.

"Hun, I'm fine."

I start crying.

"Really I'm fine."

I get a hold of myself, and realize he actually is ok.

"The car might be drivable if I didn't flip, but it broke the hood. We'll be getting a new one."

"...YOU FLIPPED OVER?!" Panic once more.

"It's ok."

We've both been abusing that car for the past few years, but now it is dead. Denny is off getting a rental car at the moment, and we should be getting the info on our car by tomorrow.

I have yet to see the car, but when we go get our stuff out of it, I'll be sure to take a picture.

This is going to go over both her blessing dress and Easter dress. :)

Weekend

Sophie had been asking all week to visit Papa's house. Denny got off work early on Friday, so we went over for a bit.

Sophie loves to play with the dogs. Oreo is the jerk wiener-dog. Quimby is my lovable cockapoo.

Denny brought his birthday present - a remote controlled helicopter. Both he and Sophie love it.

Tumbling

Last week Sophie started tumbling classes. Today was "Parent's Day," they have it 3 times a year. Parent's Day = we all got to "ooo" and "aaah" over our little ones.

Each kid showed the new skills they've learned. Being as it was only Sophie's 2nd week, I think she did awesome. No I'm not biased, my kid is amazing. So suck it.

Afterwards, the girls all got their skill ribbons, weekly coin (that they use to "buy" little treats), and a cupcake (thanks to the dad that brought them).

When Sophie was handed her stuff, she ran over to me and yelled, "MOM! I WON!!!"

I'm really happy that we put her in tumbling, she absolutely loves it.

St Patrick's

Sophie and I made some green cupcakes on St. Patrick's Day. Well, she made them; I just tried to keep the mess small.

Park

park.jpg
We took the girls to the park this weekend. I love that it was nice enough to get out and about. Sophie and I often get Cabin Fever from being stuck in the house all winter. Stupid winter.

I just love the relationship that Sophie and Denny share. It's so cute.

While sitting on a park bench, Denny noticed that Mya's hat had slipped over her eyes. Since she was wrapped to my chest, I handed the camera to him. I'm generally not in the pictures, what with me taking the majority of them.

This was my favorite.

Bringing Sexy Back

I like food, a lot. I like food so much that I'll eat it, even if I'm not hungry. If there is food within my reach, it must be consumed. On the other extreme, if I don't have food around me, I don't bother getting up to get it. I am currently devouring a 2 lb box of colorful goldfish.

My husband takes advantage of this weakness. Every time we go grocery shopping, he brings a bag of snacks downstairs (where we spend most of our time). I've come up with only one logical explanation: he is trying to make me fat.

He must feel that my extreme hotness is just too much. After all, who doesn't lust after a 20 yr old with two small children, wearing pajama pants that smell like spit-up, has no makeup on, and her messy hair pulled back (this has become my everyday attire, and will not change anytime soon).

On top of my sex appeal, is the house full of hotties living next to us. There are a group of nerd men all living together, and boy are they sexy. My favorite is "Milk Guy." The first time I saw him was the day we were moving in. He is a larger fellow who walks everywhere. He can almost always be seen wearing floods, holding a walking stick, and drinking a gallon of milk.

I am the definition of "finger licking good." :)

Share the Love

I have a hard time sharing my babies. So sue me. They are only tiny and full of love for so long. You wanna baby? Get your own.

Sophie was all mine. Denny wasn't very involved during the tiny stages, which made it difficult later, when he did try to bond. Live and learn.

Mya = Round 2

She adores him. The love thief. While I'm not one for sharing... I admit it, I love it. The moment she sees him, she bursts with delight. There is just something about that hairy man that she likes.

The girls can't get enough of him, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
