Tahoe - part 2

Again, zero desire to edit pictures.
I just slapped my watermark on these and called it good.

Maybe for the next post, I can try to put some effort into making the pictures pretty. :P

For our second day in Tahoe, Grandma took us to her work to show off her grandbabies.

Later that day we had dinner at the beach!
The ever so sweet Manuel cooked the meat while the girls ran amuck.

Sophie has been on a nail-painting-hype.
EVERYONE has had their nails painted.
Her, Mya, Me, Denny, Papa, Grandma, etc.

Mya flipped out over all the ducks.

"Mya where are the ducks?"
"DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!"

On our way back, we stopped by the river to see the salmon.
After getting lost on and endless path, we all just wanted to get back to the car.

As the path was winding in one giant circle, I pressed forward.

Denny complained.

At one point I snapped at him, calling him an 'ass.'
To be fair, he was being a giant ass.

Manuel agreed that we were nearly at the end of the trail and we should keep going.

Not 2 minutes later we came back to the exact spot we had started.
In the words of Tina Fey - "Bitches get stuff done!"

Ah family vacations.
They just aren't the same without marital spats.

PS, I do indeed think my husband is an ass, but I love him none the less.

Tahoe - part 1

Being as I have two small children who need things like food and attention - our trip will be split up into several posts.

I also don't have even the slightest desire to "fancy" edit 200+ images,
so you will be getting the simple and sweet ones.
(yup, I'm lazy.)

We were lucky enough to spend an entire week with Grandma Taly.
I even rounded up enough money for Denny to join us.

My mom bought us some train tickets, and off we went.
The girls slept most of the way.

Right after we got off the train, we headed to iHop.
Manuel (my mom's husband) bought everyone brunch.

We drove up the mountain and made it to the hotel.
Manuel was nice enough to get us our own room for the week.
Gracias Manuel. :)

After we swam, showered, and unpacked, it was time for dinner.
We all walked up to one of the fancy hotels.

The girls just adore Manuel.

We stuffed our faces at the buffet.

I made Denny take a picture of me.
I'm getting better at making sure that I am part of the photographic memories now.
Even if I look retarded in the pictures.

The girls were making silly faces.

As we were leaving, we all looked out the window as the sun was setting.
Beautiful.

Much to my delight, we decided to walk down to the beach to see the ducks

The sunset was even better down at the beach!

So of course I started snapping away.

Then we all went home and got some much needed sleep.
I spent my day powered up on REDBULLS!

More pictures to come later.

Thank You

I would like to take a moment to thank all of the amazing people in my life.

So thank you to:

Those of who have always loved.

Those who support my dreams.

Those who never judge.

Those who understand.

 Those who listen.

Those who treat my children with respect.

Those who continue to be my friend, even if we don't go to church.

Thank you to my mother, the strongest woman I know.
Despite my piercings, drinking, teenage pregnancy, and endless shenanigans...
she has never stopped loving me.

Thank you to my father.
He spent an unimaginable amount of money to get me the help that I needed.
He is the one person that never gave up hope that I could be better.

Thank you to my older brother.
He brings the smiles that I need.

Thank you to my younger brother.
He loved me, even when I didn't love myself.

Thank you to my darling husband.
He delights and infuriates me each day.

Thank you to my little girls.
They challenge me each and every day.
They remind me to love, to play, and simple enjoy every minute of every day.

It amazes me how blessed I really am.

Das ZOO!

So I didn't really feel like taking time to fancy edit the pictures.
I'm lazy yo.

Every year I take the girls to the zoo.

This year Denny went without much fuss.

ENJOY THE PICTURES!

Looking for the tigers.

Staring at the giraffes.
The giraffe that was pregnant last year.... totally still pregnant.
Their pregnancies are 400 days long.
400 days.

The new arctic area was opened this year.
Mya went ape-shit for the seals.
She all but exploded every time they floated by the glass.

This polar bear was super silly.
She kept swimming over and popping up at the glass.

And other random pictures.
