Siempre Soñe

I sang a song for Denny as a Christmas gift. :)

I translated it to English for you bilingual-challenged folk.

Siempre Soñe
I Always Dream

Siempre soñe
I Always Dream
Que tu vendrais a mi.
That you come to me.
Hoy que es asi
And now that it's like this
Me siento tan feliz.
I feel so happy.
Creo estar soñando
I believe I'm dreaming
Cuando tu me besas asi.
When you kiss me like this.

Todo mi amor
All of my love
Lo tienes tu mi bien.
You have it.
Mi corazon
My heart
Lo tienes tu tambien.
You have it too.
Creo estar soñando
I believe I'm dreaming
Cuando tu me besas asi.
When you kiss me like this.

Si me miras bien,
If you look at me well,
No me puedo contener yo ya mas
I can't contain myself anymore
Si me besas asi
When you kiss me like this.
Pero tambien tengo miedo,
But I'm afraid too,
De perder tu amor
To lose your love.
Si mi amor no me dejes.
If you love me, don't leave me.

Stupid Santa

Yesterday morning, my dad called to say that he heard the firetruck coming around. Every year Santa rides on a firetruck, up and down every street.
Once my dad called, I threw Sophie in the car, and we headed over there.
Sophie had some cereal while she waited. (Beautiful faces, huh?)
Santa never showed. The jerk.
At least Sophie had fun with her cereal, and the stupid bird. That bird is out to get me.
True story.

Sunday Best

I bought the fabric for our Christmas skirts about a week ago. Of course, being me, I didn't even wash the fabric until yesterday morning. :) I procrastinate, so sue me. I stayed up until around 11:30 at night to make them.

I think they turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself. Sophie even picked out the fabric. It has little Santa faces and Christmas trees on it. (Click on the picture and you can see it better)

Silly side note. Sophie hasn't been feeling well the past few days. This morning she was particularly horrid. She allowed me to put on her shoes, tights, and shirt - the skirt was not an option. I'm super mom, so what do I do? Restrain the kid and shove the skirt on her.

Denny has the nerve to ask, "Wouldn't it be better if we just stayed home today? I mean, with her being sick and all." It most certainly would NOT be better. I had to show off my cool skirts after all.

We made it through the classes, but sacrament would have been pushing it. Plus I'm anemic and didn't eat this morning, so I was feeling pretty crappy. Too bad, I would have liked to hear the program.

I still got my compliments. So the day was a success.

Musica

This post is mostly for my mom. She's been calling and asking for pictures since my grandparents got here. So here you go mom. (I'm rather proud of them, I did VERY little editing. Go ahead and click on a picture to enlarge it.)
My whole family has a love for music. Jared and I both play the piano and sing. He also plays the saxaphone. Isaak is learning the cello and guitar (he's a slacker though). My dad plays the cello, and my mom tries to sing. :P
I was sitting with Papa the other day, while Sophie napped. He pulled out his guitar and started singing a very pretty song. (Anything he sings is pretty) He asked me to play the chords on the piano, and the next thing you know, we have a duet going.
Isaak came home from school, and Papa showed him a song on the guitar. I don't know how long its been since that boy has even looked at the guitar.
The three of us have been working on a song. We'll be sure to record it so you can see how awesome we are. :)
I had to put this just because I love my piano. Isn't she pretty?

Jingle Jingle

Sophie has taken to Papa and Mama pretty well. The first time she saw Mama she followed her around for about 5 minutes. Mama also has some slippers that have sparkly little "scales" on them, and Sophie thinks they are just amazing.

They were trying to clean out the bird cage yesterday, and Sophie was running about with the bird's little bell. She jingled it at everyone. I posted two videos from yesterday in an earlier post today.

My little monster is getting so big. I can't believe she'll be two so soon...
