Rockin the Prefolds

A few weeks ago I found a bag of prefold cloth diapers at Kid to Kid for just $5. (along with 4 Bumkins, all in ones, for just $1.50 each!!!) I love Kid to Kid. Anyways, once we got home I pulled out the old prefolds I had from when Sophie was born. I got a pack and use them as burp clothes (very convenient).
Now that we have 20 prefolds, the 15 pockets I made, 4 all-in-ones, and a few covers, life is grand! I've more than doubled our diaper count! WOO HOO! Plus with the prefolds, daddy might be able to get a hang of changing the cloth.
While I am FAR from pro at putting on prefolds, it's not too difficult. Plus prefolds are super cheap compared to the insane $17-24 I've seen for just one all-in-one diaper. Call me crazy, but I don't feel like paying $20 for something my kid is gonna poop in.
Super excited about saving even more money! With just the 15 diapers I made, we could go 2 or 3 days, but then have to use disposables until I got around to washing the cloth. Now we'll have a whole other set to use while one set washes. WOOT!

More TreeHouse Museum

Saturday we planned to hang out with my girlfriend Mariza and her hubby. Denny woke up feeling like poo, so he got to stay home and bum for the entire day. Sophie and I met Mariza and her family at the Tree House Museum.

The girls had a blast, as well as us parents. :) The place is pretty awesome, and I'm a big fan of it. Sophie was very excited to go see the horses. She even wanted to wear the costumes this time. It was super cute.
One of the weirdest things there, is the big cow. It's made so the kids can "milk" it. You squeeze the rubber chi-chis and water shoots out. Sophie thought it was fascinating. She sat under that cow for a good 15 minutes. Eventually we dragged the kids away with the promise of pizza.
We went to the Ogden Pizzeria, and they had really yummy pizza. We'll have to go back something. (notice how Sophie is rockin the awesome Spongebob shirt my dad got her the other day)

Big Girl Bed

Two nights ago we bought Sophie a Spongebob toddler bed. Notice how the little blue bubble says "EASY TO ASSEMBLE".... HA! The thing was a complete pain in the ass to put together. She loves it. Before we even got the thing put together, she was super excited. Here she is "sleeping" in her bed. The first night she slept there from 12 until 3, then woke up a bit freaked out. She had forgotten where she was. So I figure I'll let her keep sleeping with us at night, and let her get used to the bed during naps. I'll keep you posted.

Like any child, she got much use out of the box. It was made into her boat, or so she said.
To top of the great day, my dad got her a super cute Spongebob shirt. She fell in love the moment she saw it, and wouldn't let ANYONE touch it.

OMGZ!

Sophie - "Mommy. Poop."
Me - "Did you poop?"
*I check Sophie's diaper*
Sophie - "Poop."
Me - "You need to poop?"
Sophie - "mmhmm"
We are at my dad's, so I take her to sit on the toilet in the laundry room. The past few day's she's been telling me she had to poop, but nothing ever came out. Once I sat her on the toilet, I expected her to just sit there for a few minutes until she lost interest.
To my surprise she started pushing! HUZZAH!
Me - "Denny come here!"
Denny - "Busy killing people"
*of course*
Me - "She's pooping in the toilet!"
That's right. My little stinker pooped in the toilet. Maybe if I'm lucky, diapers will vanish sometime soon. :)

Super Fun Park

I hate, no... I DESPISE the winter. I like sun, warm, swimming, shorts, all that jazz. With winter, often comes seasonal depression. Since I'm stuck in the stinkin apartment all day on top of the cold weather, my mood just spirals downward. Friday was the first day in weeks that I had the car, and I took advantage of it. To top it off, it was really nice weather outside. Score!Sophie and I went to hang out with my friend Mariza. (we've been friends since we were little girls, and our mothers have been friends since they were little girls) We all decided to hit up a super fun park. Mariza and her hubby David, loaded their two kids in the car, and we followed them to the park.

Hopefully we can keep the bff trend going through to our girls. They get along pretty well for toddlers, its super cute. They know each others names, they share (most of the time), they hug, and they hold hands. I just love it.
Plus they have super hot moms. :)
We had loads of fun, like we always do when we see Mariza and Jayden. I wish we lived closer to eachother, it's a pain in the butt to drive clear out to North Ogden.
