Art Festival

My friend, Sophie, invited us to the annual art council festival at the duckie park. The first thing we did was ride the choo choo, which was hella bumpy.
Sophie and Kairi got along pretty well. We got to make some arts and crafts for daddy. Sophie's mom was running one of the food booths there, so we got free awesome Filipino food. She even loaded me up with food to take home - Denny LOVED it.
The kids ran around the playground for a while too. We had a blast. Tomorrow we plan to go hang out with Sophie and Kairi again. :)

Daw

There is just no winning for Sophie lately. She's been constipated, has 4 teeth coming in, and her little nose has been runny for days. Needless to say... her sleep has suffered. She started waking up around 2 or 3, and staying away until 5 or 6. Its HORRIBLE! I generally wake up with her and if she doesn't fall asleep within two hours or so, I go wake Denny and hand her off to him.

Last night she popped up at 2, climbed on our bed, and screamed. I took her out and turned on Spongebob. Around 4 she got really cranky, so I figured it was time to wake daddy. Being the lovely man he is, he deals with her shenanigans so I can get some much needed rest.

About 9:45 this morning I woke up and didn't see Sophie laying next to me. My heart skipped a beat, but I figures Denny had just laid her in her bed. (which is on the floor by the foot of ours) I looked, but no Sophie. My heart stopped. Then I noticed that Denny wasn't in the room either.

I walked into the living room to find them snuggling on the couch. Both passed out. :)
Denny had started to wake up when I turned on the camera. And once I snapped the pictures, Sophie jumped up too. (ignore that he is in his pacman panties) I just adored finding them like that.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!

Sooooooooooooooooo guess what? Tonight we had our first missionary lesson. :D I'm so giddy I could pee my pants! I've tried for nearly 3 years to get this man to just sit down and listen to the missionaries.

A few weeks back, Denny announced that he WANTED to go to church. I nearly fainted. This is the man who would fight me to the death, because Sundays were his lazy days. Then on top of that, he WANTS to talk to the missionaries.

I could just burst with happiness. My family will be eternal, together forever. What more could I ask for?

Even better- his baptism goal is set for October 13th, that is the day we officially started dating. I almost started crying when they set the date.

I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!

My Silly Man

I'm reminded daily, just how much of a goof my husband is. As I was opening the fridge to get Sophie a juice box, I glanced at the grocery list.
I'm also reminded daily that I married this crazy man, because he makes me laugh every day. That was one of the most important qualities I absolutely HAD to have in my spouse.
I was getting pretty a few weeks back, and came out to find Sophie and Denny all snuggled up watching Duck Tales. :P
Here he is giving Sophie high5's at the park. :) I love watching the two of them interact. But my favorite thing of the day, is a conversation I had with Denny on google chat:

Lexi: i was thinking like have two babies, adopt an asian, have two more, and then adopt OODLES
Denny: Herm... We should adobt a scottish kid, Just saying
Lexi: wha? hispanic and asian sir
Denny: .... wut
Lexi: i want those first, then if we are rich, we can get one from every continent
Denny: Wait... we can make hispanic babies!
Lexi: NU UH! you be white!
Denny: BE MORE MEXICAN
Lexi: you suck the mexican out of my babies
Denny: Oh is that what I do?
Lexi: yes! damn you
Denny: No I dont, You do this to yourself!
Lexi: whatever, whitey mc white butt!
Denny: You're white!
Lexi: im beaner
Denny: And yet so white
Lexi: you shut your dirty whore mouth
Denny: BILLY MAYS BE DEAD, HE CANT TALK
Lexi: shows how much you know. i thought your big head had a big brain in it!
Lexi: i made myself laugh out loud, i'm awesome

Then we went on to talking about pot pies. :) Yay marriage!

What to be, what to be?

So last year, Denny had no say in the costumes. He wanted us to all dress up together, but since Sophie was only 10 months, I made him wait until the next year. Now that she can someone get into Trick-or-Treating, I wanted us all to dress up too.
My original plan was to have us all dress up as pirates. Denny loves pirates, Sophie would be super cute, and I could dress all slutty like. (which IS a requirement for me!)

A few weeks back, Denny told me he wanted to be something else for Halloween. I just new it would be something nerd related. He said he wanted to theme us around "WarHammer." I sighed. Then he showed me a picture of what I could be.
I'm all for slutty Halloween costumes! The above is a Witch Elf. So I went through the nerd websites, and found pictures of more things to be. And I found my favorite.
A Sorceress. Hot ya? If only I had the boobs to pull that off. :( Then I tried looking for something Sophie could be. WarHammer is not cute at all, I couldn't find ANYTHING! The reason Denny wanted to do these costumes, was to dress up and carry around one of his many medieval weapons.

I then started looking up other things he could be, and still drag around a battle hammer. A night? A viking? And so on. It all settled around Medieval stuff. Then I found my costume. :)
A BAR WENCH! Hells yea. The above picture was actually a 'Please Fair Wench'... yea.... I told Denny, as long as I get to show off my girlish figure I'm down with anything. Now we just have to pick exactly what we'll be, so I can start making costumes.

Ideas anyone?
