Yay # 2

Yesterday, on the way home, Denny and I were talking in the car. The following conversation took place.

Lexi: You know if anything ever happens to you, I think I'll become an escort.
Denny: Why?
Lexi: I would get money for old loser men to take me out on dates!
Denny: Would you be one of those who charges $200 for a date, and $2,000 for sex?
Lexi: Yea! My sex is totally worth $2,000.
Denny: You know you can get arrested for that? Its prostitution.
Lexi: Well I'm not gonna sex EVERYONE, just the hot ones.
Denny: Why don't you just be a model?
Lexi: Well I can't be a model.
Denny: Yes you can. Why not?
Lexi: I'll tell you inside.

We walk inside an I point to the fridge, and told him that no one wants a big preggo lady for a model.

He lit up instantly. Last month, he announced that he was finally ready for a baby; but with our 'issues,' I didn't really want to risk bringing another life into this world. I canceled my appointment, and we went on with life. Yesterday I made my appointment again, and we are excited as ever.

So prepare for mini Denny and Lexi number 2!

Meakin Family Reunion

This here is Eric's little boy, he looks so much like Jared did when he was younger. I was totally in love with my cousin Eric when I was like 4. I told everyone I was going to marry him. :P
Both Isaak and I made bank at the reunion. We played Jeopardy using grandma and grandpa's history. We both won $16. I totally could have gotten $32 but I chickened out.
A good deal of the family came. The tater tots, the joes, and such. Bob, Joe, Mary, Marty, and Carol were all there.
Near the end of the reunion my favorite flip flop broke. :( These are my favorite ones too.
Denny used a piece of caution tape to reconstruct my shoe. He was very proud of his handy work. After the reunion we hit up Ikea. We don't have one near us, so this is the first time I've ever been. I was like a little kid on Christmas. I LOVED IT!

I'll post the videos of the reunion when I upload them, and the pictures are here.

Really people, really?

The following conversation just took place:

Lexi: Do you want to go see your grandpa?
Denny: We don't have the money.
Lexi: Well if we HAVE to, we can ask your grandma to borrow some.
Denny: Funny thing about her, she was like the only one who didn't say anything about me marrying you.
Lexi: Excuse me?
Denny: ...Never... mind...

I then forced the information out of him. Apparently everyone he knows had something to say about marrying the little Mexican girl he knocked up. I told him I wanted names and numbers. After the first 10 people he just said it might be easier to tell me who actually WAS happy about us getting married.

Alex, David, Aunt Anita, Grandma Horton, John, and Steve were the only people who were generally happy about our engagement.

All the rest of you can suck an egg!

And just for clarification, not ONE of my family members or friends told me not to marry him. My family and friends loved him and accepted him. You jerks.

If you plan on giving him crap, I'll kick your ass. You should have kept your mouth shut the first time - when you found out he was getting married to awesome me.

So go ahead and try to complain to him or say something negative about me, just like you did when we got engaged. I'll take you all down!

PS- HAHA I WON! HE MARRIED ME ANYWAY!

Artistic

As I was chopping up a popsicle for Sophie, she decided to color my wall. I heard her saying 'color color color'... I should have known. My poor wall, it didn't stand a chance.

Tree House Museum

Mariza is a childhood friend. Our mom's were good friends when they were in Mexico, so naturally they threw us together as kids. We decided to take the kids to the Tree House Museum in Ogden yesterday.
The kids absoloutly LOVED IT! (we thought it was pretty freakin awesome too) Here they are banging on the walls in the music room.
My tiny little baby doctor. Perfect way to hold a baby ya?
Mariza and I constructed the arch. We were pretty proud of ourselves.
Sophie and Jayden held hands the entire time. It was just adorable! Sophie started calling her 'day den'. :)
Little fire fighters.
Coloring in the little school house.
Cutest cowgirls ever! We had to pretty much rip them off. Even then, Sophie refused to leave the hat. She wore it all over the museum until we left.
Hanging in China. Ethan decided to eat my finger right as Mariza took the picture, it made me laugh.
Awesome feather necklace I made in Africa. There are oodles more pictures (around 100 or so .... I like pictures) There are also 4 videos, I'll link here.
